Emergence of seas

Scientists were asking this question for long time, how the seas were formed? And from where did this amount of water come?

The most accepted theory to explain the emergence of water from the practical and scientifically point of view can be summarized that the earth at the beginning was throwing lava from the inside, these lava were dashing in the atmosphere so that it was releasing millions of tons of the heated water vapor that ascend in the air till it touch the higher layers of the atmosphere to condense to make the heavy rains.

Hence, the water in earth was emerged from the underground of the earth which means that God be He exalted and blessed take out its water from the inside of it, God says :( And after that He spread the earth *and brought forth there from its water and its pasture*and the mountains He has fixed firmly* (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle.)(Sûrat An-Nazi' at- verse 30-33).

Look at the sequence of the cosmic events, at the beginning the earth was a flammable celestial body which was separated from the sun and then it started to turn around it, the turning of earth , separation from the sun and then the earth was spread till it got its spherical shape are what the Qur'an told us in His saying:( And after that He spread the earth), in this verse a sign for the sphericity of earth as the word spread came from the roundness of the egg. During the cooling operation the water vapor started to ascend from the lava and that what the Qur'an told us in His saying :( and brought forth there from its water and its pasture).

So the water got out from the earth to start the formation of life and to bring the different plants. At that time the mountains hadn’t been formed yet as it took thousands of millions of years to form the mountains!

When the earth started to become cold, the earth crust started to be formed and that crust started to move because it stands on the lava (thousands of degree of heat)!as a result of these movement the different parts of the crust started to collision with each others to form the mountains.
Mountains have roots which extends to thousand of meters inside earth crust as it work as a balance for the earth to fix it during its turning like the anchor for the boat, so God says:(and the mountains He has fixed firmly* (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle.) (Sûrat An-Nazi'at- verse 30-33).

The scientists say that the water was descended from the sky to be lodged inside the earth which formed seas and rivers, therefore God talks about the descending of the water from the sky and also from inside the earth. Scientists say that both facts are right
Now the Question is : what may happen if the salt of the seas is able to evaporate like the water of the seas? God be He exalted put the law of gravity to enable life to continue. As the salt is heavier than the water so it can't ascend in the air ….but the water can, because the density of water vapor is less than the density of the air. Scientists calls it the "Archimedes' principle".

This law which is related to the density of the materials guarantees the evaporation of water and to keeping the salt in the seas to ensure the descending of the pure water from the sky, God says :(Then tell me about the water that you drink * Is it you who cause it from the rain-clouds to come down, or are We the Causer of it to come down?*If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable): why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)?)(Sûrat Al-Wâqi‘ah- verse 68-70).

Therefore, the scientific miracle in the Qur'an is not only limited to mentioning the scientific facts but it includes the actual sequence of these facts. There is no contradiction between the modern science and the words of Allah. This is evidence that the creator of the universe is the one who descended the Qur'an.

A Glimpse of True Islamic Mannerism - How much of these have WE adopted?

Doctor Saud al-’Ajaaji who was amongst those who accompanied Shaykh Saalih al-Uthaymeen – may Allah have mercy on him – on his last medical trip that he made to Boston, USA before his death, said:

Whilst we were leaving the hotel where we were staying in, a young American boy who was with his mother stood in front of the Shaykh – his Saudi traditional dress must have caught his attention – so he began to touch him on his head and to play with him. So his mother asked his son to greet the Shaykh. In turn the Shaykh returned an even better greeting by directing his speech to his mother ·

May Allah guide you to Islam while keeping his gaze lowered all the time. After a while, the mother told her son to bid Shaykh a farewell by saying, ·

Have a nice day

Some of those who were accompanying the Shaykh became annoyed about the way the woman was dressed. One of them even made a comment. When the Shaykh heard this he did not like it and he said, ·

O brothers! This is not from the mannerism of Islam. ·

Both, mother and the son were smiling at us and were very cordial in their speech,
so it is our duty to reciprocate their favor. ·

Instead of making du’aa [supplication] against them we should make du’aa in their favor that Allah [suhbaa nahu wa ta’ala] guide them to this exalted religion.

Tafheem-us-Sunnah - Tafseer Ibn Katheer - Aal 'Imran

Aal-‘Imran

The Proofs of Tawhid for People of Understanding, their Characteristics, Speech, and Supplications
Allah said,
(Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the Earth,) [3:190], referring to the sky in its height and spaciousness, the earth in its expanse and density, the tremendous features they have of rotating planets, seas, mountains, deserts, trees, plants, fruits, animals, metals and various beneficial colors, scents, tastes and elements.
(And in the alternation of night and day), as one follows and takes from the length of the other. For instance, at times one of them becomes longer than the other, shorter than the other at times and equal to the other at other times, and the same is repeated again and again, and all this occurs by the decision of the Almighty, Most Wise. This is why Allah said,
(there are indeed signs for men of understanding), referring to the intelligent and sound minds that contemplate about the true reality of things, unlike the deaf and mute who do not have sound comprehension. Allah said about the latter type,
(And how many a sign in the heavens and the earth they pass by, while they are averse therefrom. And most of them believe not in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him) [12:105,106]. Allah then describes those who have good minds,
(Those who remember Allah standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides) [3:191]. Al-Bukhari recorded that `Imran bin Husayn said that, the Messenger of Allah said,
«صَلِّ قَائِمًا، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَقَاعِدًا، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ فَعَلَى جَنْب»
(Pray while standing, and if you can't, pray while sitting, and if you cannot do even that, then pray lying on your side.) These people remember Allah in all situations, in their heart and speech,
(and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the Earth), contemplating about signs in the sky and earth that testify to the might, ability, knowledge, wisdom, will and mercy of the Creator. Allah criticizes those who do not contemplate about His creation, which testifies to His existence, Attributes, Shari`ah, His decree and Ayat. Allah said,
(And how many a sign in the heavens and the Earth they pass by, while they are averse therefrom. And most of them believe not in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him) [12:105,106]. Allah also praises His believing servants,
(Those who remember Allah standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth), supplicating;
("Our Lord! You have not created this without purpose,'') You did not create all this in jest and play. Rather, You created it in truth, so that You recompense those who do evil in kind, and reward those who do righteous deeds with what is better. The faithful believers praise Allah and deny that He does anything in jest and without purpose, saying,
("glory to You,''), for You would never create anything without purpose,
("Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.''), meaning, "O You Who created the creation in truth and justice, Who is far from any shortcomings, or doing things without purpose or with jest, save us from the torment of the Fire with Your power and strength. Direct us to perform the deeds that make You pleased with us. Guide us to righteous work from which You admit us into the delightful Paradise, and save us from Your painful torment.'' They next supplicate,
("Our Lord! Verily, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed, You have disgraced him;), by humiliating and disgracing him before all people on the Day of Gathering,
("and never will the wrongdoers find any helpers.''), on the Day of Judgment, who would save them from You. Therefore, there is no escaping whatever fate You decided for them.
("Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one calling to faith,''), a caller who calls to faith, referring to the Messenger of Allah ,
(`Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed), accepted his call and followed him.
("Our Lord! Forgive us our sins''), on account of our faith and obeying Your Prophet
("Forgive us our sins''), and cover them,
("and expiate from us our evil deeds''), between us and You, in private,
("and make us die along with Al-Abrar.''), join us with the righteous people.
("Our Lord! Grant us what You promised unto us through Your Messengers'') for our faith in Your Messengers, or, and this explanation is better; grant us what You promised us by the words of Your Messengers,
("and disgrace us not on the Day of Resurrection,''), before all creation,
("for You never break (Your) Promise.''), for surely, the promise that You conveyed to Your Messengers, which includes us being resurrected before You, shall certainly come to pass. It was the Prophet's tradition to recite the ten Ayat at the end of [Surah] Al `Imran when he woke up at night for (voluntary) prayer. Al-Bukhari recorded that Ibn `Abbas said, "I slept one night at the house of my aunt, Maymunah. The Messenger of Allah spoke with his wife for a while and then went to sleep. When it was the third part of the night, he stood up, looked at the sky and recited,
(Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding) [3:190]. The Prophet then stood up, performed ablution, used Siwak (to clean his teeth) and prayed eleven units of prayer. When Bilal said the Adhan, the Prophet prayed two units of prayer, went out (to the Masjid) and led the people in the Dawn prayer.'' This was also collected by Muslim. Ibn Marduwyah recorded that `Ata' said, "I, Ibn `Umar and `Ubayd bin `Umayr went to `A'ishah and entered her room, and there was a screen between us and her. She said, `O `Ubayd! What prevents you from visiting us' He said, `What the poet said, `Visit every once in a while, and you will be loved more.' Ibn `Umar said, `Tell us about the most unusual thing you witnessed from the Messenger of Allah .' She cried and said, `All his matters were amazing. On night, he came close to me until his skin touched my skin and said, `Let me worship my Lord.' I said, `By Allah I love your being close to me. I also love that you worship your Lord.' He used the water-skin and performed ablution, but did not use too much water. He then stood up in prayer and cried until his beard became wet. He prostrated and cried until he made the ground wet. He then laid down on his side and cried. When Bilal came to alert the Prophet for the Dawn prayer, he said, `O Messenger of Allah! What makes you cry, while Allah has forgiven you your previous and latter sins' He said,
«وَيْحَكَ يَا بِلَالُ، وَمَا يَمْنَعُنِي أَنْ أَبْكِيَ، وَقَدْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ فِي هذِهِ اللَّيْلَة»
(O Bilal! What prevents me from crying, when this night, this Ayah was revealed to me,)
(Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding.)
«وَيْلٌ لِمَنْ قَرَأَهَا وَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرْ فِيهَا»
(Woe to he who recites it but does not contemplate it.).
So their Lord accepted of them (their supplication and answered them), "Never will I allow to be lost the work of any of you, be he male or female. You are (members) one of another, so those who emigrated and were driven out from their homes, and suffered harm in My cause, and who fought and were killed (in My cause), verily, I will expiate from them their evil deeds and admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise); a reward from Allah, and with Allah is the best of rewards.'')

Human is programmed to live on earth

A new study confirmed that human was created to live on earth, and there is an impossibility to live in the space at any other planet, because the immune system is negatively affected by absence of gravity, let us read….

Immortality is the dream of humanity for long time but no one had achieved that dream, as death was the strict law so God says : ( Everyone is going to taste death, and we shall make a trial of you with evil and with good. And to us you will be returned.) (Sûrat Al-Anbiyâ’- verse 35). Also being in the space was another dream by human but that dream was achieved. On the other hand the dream of living outside earth in the space will not be achieved, God be He exalted says : ( Thereof (the earth) we created you, and into it we shall return you, and from it we shall bring you out once again.) (Sûrat Tâ-Hâ- verse55).

A group of Swiss scientists discovered that absence of gravity has a negative effect on some cells of the immune system, as the functions of these cells may stop or the body may lose control over it, which may facilitate infections by some diseases.

Space biologists confirm that absence of gravity for long time causes Nausea and face swelling due to the disorder of the blood circle and also causes the retreat of ratio of calcium in bones. On the other hand absence of gravity leads to the difficulty of sleeping which causes unbalance in the brain and to difficulty in urinating.

Prof Oliver Olrich a specialist in the biotechnology of space and the head of the research team in the institute of anatomy in University of Zurich confirmed on the previous results and also he said that they have reached these results through simulation experiments for the absence of gravity in the space. The negative effect is not limited to the immune system but it covers the entire body. The research team concentrated on the cells of the immune system in the brain as it gets affected so much by absence of gravity which hit the brain and facilitates its infection by viruses.

A photo for Prof Oliver Olrich during a Weightlessness experiment, he confirmed that pilots can't stay for long time in mobile space stations between planets for researching purposes, as NASA and the European agency intend to launch a spacecraft that will carry pilots whom will stay for many years in the space. The immune cells of the brain has an advantage which is the early warning which may leads to uncalculated dangerous in case of the exposure to bad effects.
The new challenge for the research team is to find out the reason which causes the damage in the immune system cells, Prof Oliver believe that the secret behind that is the component of the cell itself as somehow it may get affected by the change in gravity.

Scientists realized the importance of gravity for continuation of life on earth, and also that life outside our planet is impossible. Despite the scientific development, there are many secrets of life which are vague in front of the scientists. Prof Olrich confirm that in spite of the advanced development in science but some phenomena stay without explanations especially the related to plants, animals and human.

How can we read this scientific study?

Every progress in science means more approach to the certain facts which must meet with the Qur'an, God be He blessed and exalted says : ( Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein many a contradiction.) (Sûrat An-Nisâ’- verse 82).Here we can see that scientists confirm on the impossibility of living outside the earth. The Qur'an told us about that as God says : (( Allah) said: Get down, one of you is an enemy to the other [i.e. Adam, Hawwâ’ (Eve), and Shaitân (Satan)] On earth will be a dwelling-place for you and an enjoyment for a time * He said: Therein you shall live, and therein you shall die, and from it you shall be brought out (i.e. resurrected)) ( Sûrat Al-A‘râf- verse 24-25).

In another verse, God be He blessed remind us with his graces which He made as earth is suitable for life on it and He designed mankind to live only on it, He says:

(Allah, it is He who has made for you the earth as a dwelling place and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape and made your shapes good (looking) and has provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord: so blessed be Allah, the Lord of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)) (Sûrat Ghâfir- verse 64).

Look at this sentence (the earth as a dwelling place) which is a sign for the role of gravity in the stability of human on earth, and without this gravity life would be disappeared from long time. Thanks God for this grace, God says: (See you not (O men) that Allah has subjected for you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and has completed and perfected His Graces upon you, (both) apparent (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, and the lawful pleasures of this world, including health, good looks, etc.) and hidden [i.e. One’s Faith in Allah (of Islamic Monotheism) knowledge, wisdom, guidance for doing righteous deeds, and also the pleasures and delights of the Hereafter in Paradise]? Yet of mankind is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance or a Book giving light!) (Sûrat Luqmân- verse 20).

The Qur'an speaks about the distilled water

(And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain); and We send down pure water from the sky ….

The holy Qur'an is the first book to distinguish between types of water and to classify it according to a scientific classification, in this article we will see that the Qur'an told us about the rainwater and called it "the pure water", scientifically it was proved that rainwater is sterilized, disinfected and free of impurities.

God be He exalted says: (And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain); and We send down pure water from the sky)( Sûrat Al-Furqân- verse 48).I looked attentively at this verse and I found that it tells us about the distilled water. Scientists discovered that the water we drink contain a lot of matters. As the cup of water which we think it is pure contain millions of Bacteria and viruses, also it contain some mineral matters such as Iron, copper, aluminum, sodium, magnesium ,calcium, and some Organic materials such as carbon and dust.

Also scientists discovered that we can purify that water by heating it in the boiling degree which is 100 degree centigrade, and then we gather the steam, condense it and cool it. Then we can get a cup of distilled water, they say that the best kind of distilled water is the rainwater but that is before it mixes with the impurities in the air.

Pollution is the result of this civilization so that rainwater cleans the air because its ability to absorb the matters such as sulfur, poison lead, etc……….

After the descending of rainwater on the ground it leaks through the soil and between the rocks to mix with the minerals and the found salts in rocks to get the alkaline taste, therefore taste of rainwater is unpalatable but taste of springs water is palatable.

Today, scientists say that the rainwater is the same as the distilled water as it has some characteristics such as its ability to cleaning dirt and to sterilize any thing. God says about that water : ( and we send down pure water from the sky).

Specifications of rainwater

Here we can mention some of the characteristics of the descended water, it is distilled water because it is a result of the vaporization of water from the seas and then it had been condensed in form of clouds then the rains descend. This kind of water can remove dirt form the human skin and also it is a sterilized material which can be used in medicine and it is free of bacteria and viruses. Also it can absorb gases and dust from air so that it cleans the air.

The Qur'an summarized all of these characteristics in only one word which is (and we send down pure water from the sky) as the word" pure" in the Arabic language means the ability to remove dirt and impurities as in "AL-Moheet dictionary".

Hence, we find the Qur'an tell us about these characteristics as God says:

((Remember) when He covered you with a slumber as a security from Him, and He caused water (rain) to descend on you from the sky, to clean you thereby and to remove from you the Rijz (whispering, evil-suggestions) of Shaitân (Satan), and to strengthen your hearts, and make your feet firm thereby.) ( Sûrat Al-Anfâl- verse 11). This verse tells us about rainwater as God says" (water (rain) to descend on you from the sky,) also He tells us about the purifying characteristic in the water in saying (to clean you), also God tells us about the power of energizing human which is in the water in His saying (and make your feet firm thereby).

The Qur'an is the first book to speak about the purifying characteristic of water as we find that all human books don’t differentiate between the sweet water, pure water and the palatable water.

In front of these realities we can ask the atheists who claim that they can think rationally and that they don't need a God(be He blessed and exalted) in their life, who said the expression of (pure) during talking about the rainwater as this word hadn't been mentioned about water of river or seas?. Who tightened rules of physics to control clouds and rains? That is Allah who says: (Say (O Muhammad ("Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Have you then taken (for worship) Auliyâ’ (protectors) other than Him, such as have no power either for benefit or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Is the blind equal to the one who sees? Or darkness equal to light? Or do they assign to Allah partners who created the like of His creation, so that the creation (which they made and His creation) seemed alike to them?" Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things; and He is the One, the Irresistible.") (Sûrat ArRa‘d-verse 16).

[Tafheem-us-Sunnah] Advise at the Deathbed - How valuable & important would YOU consider it

It is reported that when Hasan al-Basri – may Allah have mercy on him - was on his deathbed, some of his companions came to him and said :
O Abu Sa’eed [his nickname], offer us some words that we can benefit us with. He replied, ·
I will equip you with three words, then you must leave me to face what I am facing :
o Be the farthest of people from those things that have been forbidden.
o Be the most involved of people in the good that has been commanded.
o Remember that the steps you take are two,Ø a step in favor or a step against – so be careful
– where YOU come and where YOU go. Reference: Abu Nu’aim, Hilyah al-Awliyaa, Vol. 2, p. 154. Related posts: 1. Abu Bakr to Umar on his deathbed

Miracles For Kids --- Earth Rotation

The holy verse:

God be he exalted says: (Have you not seen how your Lord spread the shadow. If He willed, He could have made it still - But We have made the sun its guide, then We withdraw it to Us a gradual concealed withdrawal.) [Surat Al-Furqan, verses: 45, 46].

The explanation of the verses:

Almighty God talks about the movement of the shadow on the ground, and that God be He exalted has made the sun a guide for this shadow and (spread) means that it moves and sweeps away all what encounters it. This means that God be He exalted is telling us that the shadow moves and lengthens and this is definitely because of the earth's movement according to the sun.
But God be He exalted told us that the sun is a guide to the shadow's movement. And we know from astronomy that the indication on the movement of an object is the stable thing that is measured according to it the moving object. For example, we say that the car moves with a speed of 100 km/hour according to a stable thing. That's how the shadow moves according to the movement of the earth and the sun is stable with respect to the earth because the earth rotates around it.

Scientific fact:

It was shown that the earth isn't stable as it was thought in the past, but it revolves around the sun and around itself. Therefore as a result of this movement, the length of the object's shadow always changes due to the movement of the earth around the sun and around itself.
This is a picture of the surface of the earth as it appears from the surface of the moon. The length of the shadow changes because of the rotation of the earth around itself. And due to the rotation of the earth around the sun, the length of the shadow slightly changes and varies according to the four seasons. And this is what the Quran referred to as God be He exalted says: (Have you not seen how your Lord spread the shadow. If He willed, He could have made it still - But We have made the sun its guide, then We withdraw it to Us a gradual concealed withdrawal.) [Surat Al-Furqan, verse: 45, 46].

The point of inimitability:

In God's saying: (Have you not seen how your Lord spread the shadow. If He willed, He could have made it still - But We have made the sun its guide) an indication to the rotation of the earth around itself and the sun is the guide, i.e., the sun is the body that the movement is measured according to it.

And in His saying: (then We withdraw it to Us a gradual concealed withdrawal) an indication to the rotation of the earth around the sun because the length of the shadow changes not only in day and night but also according to the seasons of the year as the earth rotates around the sun and it inclines on its axis of rotation for about 23 degrees, therefore the length of the shadow varies due to the angle that the sunrays fall in.

These facts weren't known at the time of the descending of Quran, therefore these verses are considered to be a sign of the scientific miracles in the holy Quran, as they talked about the rotation of the earth around itself and around the sun.

Innovative Way to Memorize the Quran -3

We receive several queries about memorizing the Holy Quran and the difficulties that many suffer from when they start memorizing the Book of Allah. Thus, we find them quitting memorizing after a while….

questions, and assure that the perfect way for memorizing is to rely on Allah with a truthful heart and good faith and Allah will choose the suitable way for you.

Is this way considered the perfect?

For every man, there is a way that he is used to. I have asked one of those who had memorized the Quran about how he did that and he promptly told me if he does not have someone reading in front of him, he cannot memorize anything. There is someone else who memorizes by picturing the verses in his memory by opening the Quran and staring at for a long time. There is also a third person who is used to memorize the Quran by repeating. He repeats the verse hundred times until he memorizes it… and so each has a way he used to, but what is the perfect way?

You must not think there is only one way or your way is the best because you are used to. You need to try the other ways and benefit from them. I am introducing through these lessons to my brother readers audio- memorizing way through listening to recorded recited Quran. This way has advantages that we have mentioned some of them. The important one is that it does not require a teacher, a place or time, but an open way.

At the beginning, some readers may not be familiar to this way; nonetheless, after some time they will feel great pleasure and sweetness. In fact, they will interact with listening to the Quran until they find themselves weeping from Allah-fearing whenever they listened to the Quran.

Does memorizing the Quran way need a teacher or a sheikh?

I can tell you beloved brother about my experience in memorizing which was without a teacher. I was depending on listening to the Quran only and that made the memorizing process easy. By doing so, I was not bound by a definite date or place for memorizing, but all times and places were open. This helped me to utilize every minute of my time.

However, there is a belief among many or all scholars emphasizing the necessity of the presence of a teacher for memorizing, and you cannot memorize anything without a teacher. Besides, you cannot master the rules of recital if there is not someone to listen to you and correct them for you.

I say this is half correct. It is correct that a believer is in need of a good example and someone to correct his mistakes. It is not correct that I make all my dependence on the teacher. If it is easy to find a teacher who keeps by heart the Book of Allah Almighty that will be a good thing, but if the circumstances of the one who wants to memorize the Quran are not suitable to follow Quran classes, should he quit the Quran and forget?

Thus, you can depend on yourself and Allah first in memorizing and trying imitating what you listen to on cassettes and even trying to record your voice while reciting the Quran. Then, you listen to it and try find out your mistakes by yourself.

Then, whenever you avail a suitable chance to meet a memorizing teacher, you may show him what you have memorized and ask him to correct your recital mistakes. However, language mistakes must not happen, because when you listen to a reciter from a cassette, you are listening to a correct reciting. You should listen very carefully and pick every sound vibration and try to echo it. Here forth, we realize the meaning of Almighty saying, "When the Qur'an is read, listen to it with attention, and hold your peace: that ye may receive Mercy." [ Al-A'raf: The Heights: 204] You must check and think of every letter the reader pronounce. It is preferable to utilize all your feelings and interact with the Quran and its concepts.

How can Neuro Linguistic Programming help in memorizing the Quran?

We may make use of the sciences of this age and utilize what has western scholars have discovered to serve the Book of Allah Almighty. They use concentration and self control to succeed in collecting money and fame, and we use the concentration power in understanding, memorizing the Quran, success in pleasing Allah almighty and collecting good deeds!
Neuro Linguistic Programming experts confirm the importance of insistence on achieving the goal which should be part of your life and give all your time to get it. You beloved brother, you can make the Quran your goal in this World and the Hereafter.

Imagine yourself that you have memorized the Quran; you will live your life with the Book of Allah Almighty. It is the healing, medicine, reassurance and power. Imagine that you will meet with Allah Almighty and you keep His Words, isn't it that a great thing…. And thus you can program your brain and life for memorizing the Book of Allah Almighty.

What are the books that are useful in memorizing the Quran?

The books that are available now are ways and experiences suggested by its owners for easing memorization. However, there is no book that makes you memorize, but it is your will and sincerity which are more important than any book.

Advice
Try to memorize every day even if it is little of the Quran but do not desert the Quran
Read what you have memorized in prayer, and repeat that and you will find joy when your prayer is longer
Try to think of the memorized verses meanings before you go to bed, and when you get up, because the subconscious at these two times is connected to the brain. Your dreams while sleeping will transform into beautiful dreams and you will see yourself reciting the Quran, is there anything more wonderful than that?!

Believe strongly that you can memorize the Quran, and you will keep it by heart if Allah permits.

Amazing PowerPoint: Miracle of Number Seven

Is the Qur’an a book of guidance or a book of mathematics?! How can we reach the guidance? The Quran contains amazing facts .….

What are the benefits of the numerical miracle?
1- A method for guiding atheists in this era.

2- To increase the certainty that the Qur’an is God’s book.

3. An effective method to calling for God.

4. To discover more wonders of the Qur’an..

The miracle could be a method to reach the guidance. All prophets used the miracle to guide people to the straight way and to prove that they are sincere in their calling for God...

The miracle: is the best method to guide people to the way of Allah be He blessed and exalted.
It is an extraordinary support from Allah to His prophets which is over the abilities of ordinary people to prove that the divine message is sincere.

For example: the miracle of Prophet Moses was the stick, the miracle of Prophet Saleh was the camel and the miracle of Jesus was the Revival of the dead….

The main characteristic is that it is continuing and valid for every place and time. Therefore in every era we can find a miracle of the Qur’an which is compatible with the science at that time. Nowadays, we are living in the era of the digital technology, what is the miracle that fits our era?!

Miracle Boy in Russia

From AOL news( US) : Thousands of Muslims have been traveling to a remote town in a war-torn region of southern Russian hoping to see verses from Islam's holy book appear on the skin of a "miracle baby.

"The parents of 9-month-old Ali Yakubov said the word "Allah" appeared on his chin soon after his birth, The Sun reported.Skip over this contentItar-Tass / LandovPink writing appears on the leg of 9-month-old Ali Yakubov. His parents say verses from the Quran appear and fade on the baby's body.

Since then, verses of the Quran in Arabic script have appeared -- and then faded away -- on the infant's back, arms, leg and stomach, his parents and local officials say."Normally those signs appear twice a week -- on Mondays and on the nights between Thursdays and Fridays," Ali's mother was quoted as saying. She said that Ali's temperature typically rises before the writings appear.

The parents deny the words, which look like raised pink birthmarks, were inked on. Local doctors have not been able to explain the phenomenon.Meanwhile, around 2,000 people per day have been traveling to the family's home in Kizlyar in Dagestan.

One woman said she had come all the way from Ukraine to see the baby. The Russian republic, located in the North Caucasus on the border of Chechnya, has been plagued by violence as security forces clash with militant Islamic separatists.Believers say that makes the sacred writings on little Ali even more important.

"The fact that this miracle happened here is a signal to us to take the lead and help our brothers and sisters find peace," the head of the Kizlyar region, Sagid Murtazaliyev, told reporters, according to ABC News.

[Tafheem-us-Sunnah] Tafseer Ibn Katheer (Aal-'Imran)!

Aal-‘Imran

Allah Warns the Idolators Sa`id bin Jubayr said that Ibn `Abbas said, "When Allah's statement,
(Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so that He may multiply it to him many times) [2:245] was revealed, the Jews said, `O Muhammad! Has your Lord become poor so that He asks His servants to give Him a loan' Allah sent down,
(Indeed, Allah has heard the statement of those (Jews) who say: "Truly, Allah is poor and we are rich!'') [3:181].'' This Hadith was collected by Ibn Marduwyah and Ibn Abi Hatim. Allah's statement,
(We shall record what they have said) contains a threat and a warning that Allah followed with His statement,
(and their killing of the Prophets unjustly,) This is what they say about Allah and this is how they treat His Messengers. Allah will punish them for these deeds in the worst manner,
(and We shall say: "Taste you the torment of the burning (Fire).'' This is because of that which your hands have sent before you. And certainly, Allah is never unjust to (His) servants.) They will be addressed like this as a way of chastising, criticism, disgrace and humiliation. Allah said,
(Those (Jews) who said: "Verily, Allah has taken our promise not to believe in any Messenger unless he brings to us an offering which the fire (from heaven) shall devour.'') Allah refuted their claim that in their Books, Allah took a covenant from them to only believe in the Messenger whose miracles include fire coming down from the sky that consumes the charity offered by a member of the Messenger's nation, as Ibn `Abbas and Al-Hasan stated. Allah replied,
(Say: "Verily, there came to you Messengers before me, with Al-Bayinat...'') with proofs and evidence,
(and even with what you speak of) a fire that consumes the accepted charity, as you asked,
(why then did you kill them) Why did you meet these Prophets with denial, defiance, stubbornness and even murder,
(if you are truthful), if you follow the truth and obey the Messengers. Allah then comforts His Prophet Muhammad ,
(Then if they reject you, so were Messengers rejected before you, who came with Al-Baiyyinat and the Scripture, and the Book of Enlightenment.) meaning, do not be sad because they deny you, for you have an example in the Messengers who came before you. These Messengers were rejected although they brought clear proofs, plain evidence and unequivocal signs,
(and the Zubur), the divinely revealed Books that were sent down to the Messengers,
(and the Book of Enlightenment) meaning the clarification and best explanation.
Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is moved away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception.) (186. You shall certainly be tried and tested in your wealth and properties and in yourselves, and you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Scripture before you (Jews and Christians) and from those who ascribe partners to Allah; but if you persevere patiently, and have Taqwa, then verily, that will be a determining factor in all affairs.)

Excellence of Generosity and Spending

Chapter 60
[Tafheem-us-Sunnah] Riyad-us-Saliheen!
Excellence of Generosity and Spending in a Good cause with Reliance on Allah
Allah, the Exalted, says: "And whatsoever you spend of anything (in Allah's Cause), He will replace it.'' (34:39)
"And whatever you spend in good, it is for yourselves, when you spend not except seeking Allah's Countenance. And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged.'' (2:272)
"And whatever you spend in good, surely Allah knows it well.'' (2:273)
544. Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Envy is permitted only in two cases: A man whom Allah gives wealth, and he disposes of it rightfully, and a man to whom Allah gives knowledge which he applies and teaches it.''[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Commentary:
Envy in the Hadith means "Ghibtah'' the equivalent of which does not exist in English language. What it means is that you wish to enjoy things which others have, such as wealth and knowledge, without wishing that they should be deprived of them to your exclusive benefit. Envy is a corrosive disease of moral nature which snatches away man's peace of mind. It means resentment at the condition of a man enjoying some Divine favour, and to wish it to be finished. It is forbidden because it wipes out one's good deeds. But there is no harm in being enviable of somebody. It has some positive connotation in the sense that you admire Allah's Blessing over a person and wish to be favoured with it too. This Hadith interprets envy as a "Ghibtah'' but not in the absolute sense because it is condemnable.
This Hadith, however, points out in unambiguous terms the excellence of a rich man who not only spends the Gifts of Allah (SWT) on his own person but also allocates a portion of it to the poor and the needy as well as to the propagation of religion. It further throws light on the excellence of a man who is well-grounded in theological doctrine and suggests solutions to people's problems in the light of the Qur'an and the Hadith and also imparts the religious knowledge to others. Everybody should aspire, apart from affluence, for an excessive fervour of spending in the way of Allah. Moreover, the quest of Islamic disciplines and their underlying rationale should remain at the centre of his heart, so that he may inherit the legacy of the Prophets, doing full justice to it as well. None can do it but with the Blessing of Allah.

Encouraging Livelihood by (working with) Hands

Chapter 59
Tafheem-us-Sunnah - Riyad-us-Saliheen
Encouraging Livelihood by (working with) Hands and Abstaining from Begging
543. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "No food is better to man than that which he earns through his manual work. Dawud (PBUH), the Prophet of Allah, ate only out of his earnings from his manual work.''[Al-Bukhari].
Commentary:
Labour and manual work make the living of a man good, laudable and excellent. The Prophets also earned their living with their own work. Upon such earnings we get the Blessing of Allah. Some people wrongly think that earning a living is at variance with trust in Allah. Rather the right form of trust requires us to adopt ways and means according to our capacity and then to leave the matter to Allah. Also the Prophetic argument tells us that any manual skill or occupation, and the one who depends on it for his living should not be considered inferior. Instead, such people deserve respectable and worthy place in society because they emulate the example of the Prophets. In our society, a highbrow attitude towards them is unfortunate and deserves our deprecation. We have chosen to put some trades in a very low estimate and so is our view of those who are attached with them. In fact, no trade is inferior, nor is the person who adopts it. __._,_.___

Sources of water

There are many signs around us and in the universe which testify that the Qur'an is sincere, one of these signs is that the scientists discovered sources of water which is compatible with verses of the Qur'an, let us read….

For many decades people were wondering about the source of water, but the answer took long time. Today, we live in an era when all scientists tell us that wars of the future will be for the water.

These wars will occur because of the scarcity of pure water due to the environmental pollution. Therefore scientists are searching for new sources of water. In this article we will see that the Qur'an told us about the source of water in earth, also about the future source of water.

There is a notice that in petrology there are some kinds of rocks which allows water to penetrate through it. One of the strangest things I read is that rocks of Granite despite its strength and cohesion but it allows water to go through it within very small Pores.

This characteristic enables the descended water from the sky to be stored inside the earth after passing through these pores, without this characteristic water wouldn't be able to leaking into a great depths below the surface of the earth.

Can life continue without water?

The Qur'an talked precisely about that matter and also referred to the source of water :( And we sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and we gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, we are Able to take it away.) (Sûrat Al-Mu’minûn- verse 18). This verse tells us that the source of the water inside the earth such as the groundwater is the rains, this is scientifically proven!

Also there is another verse as God be He exalted says: (And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]) (Sûrat A-Hijr -verse22). For many years people believed that water in depths below the surface of the earth had been formed inside earth or it is existed inside earth from the old ages, and no one got the knowledge that this water was stored inside from the water of rain. But the great Qur'an told us about this scientific reality and God confirmed to us that He lodges this water by His ability and is purified by these layers of rocks to be drinkable so that God says:(We give it to you to drink) and without the mercy of God and that He exploited the physics laws for us, water wouldn’t be lodged inside earth and life wouldn’t be continue.

Scientists confirm that earth is the source of the water, God says :( And after that He spread the earth* and brought forth there from its water and its pasture.)(Sûrat An-Nazi' at- verse 30-31). There are many verses in the Qur'an confirming on that and all of these verses are compatible with the new science, this is a proof that the Qur'an is sincere.

The strangest thing is that dust is full of Pores but it doesn’t allow water to pass through it because of a very distinguished characteristic which is the ability of dust to mixing with water to enable plants to grow. God says concerning that:

(And you see the earth barren, but when we send down water (rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), and it swells and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth).) (Sûrat Al-Hajj- verse 5). Glory to Allah who mentioned everything in His book.

Also, the Qur'an told us about the source of springs in the earth, God says: (See you not that Allah sends down water (rain) from the sky, and causes it to penetrate the earth, (and then makes it to spring up) as water-springs) (Sûrat Az-Zumar-verse21). This verse tells us that the source of springs is the water of rain and that is the opposite to the belief of some people who believed that the source of these springs is the sea!!

Nowadays, scientists are looking for a new source of water for the future, and they confirm that the best source is the high mountains as it saves a huge amount of water. Also the Qur'an told us about that as God says :( And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains, and have given you to drink sweet water?)(Sûrat Al-Mursalât- verse 27).

These are compact verses which testify that the Qur'an is sincere and is matching with the scientific facts, and it is not like what skeptics say that this book is just an ordinary book, if they are right we would see many myths and superstitions in it but we only see what agrees with science. This is an indication that the source of that book is the divine inspiration, read with me this divine challenge :( And this Qur'an is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allah (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurât (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. laws, decreed for mankind) - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists) * Or do they say: "He (Muhammad( has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a Sûrah (chapter) like unto it, and call upon whomsoever you can besides Allah, if you are truthful!"* Nay, they have belied the knowledge whereof they could not comprehend and what has not yet been fulfilled (i.e. their punishment). Thus those before them did belie. Then see what was the end of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers)!* And of them there are some who believe therein; and of them there are some who believe not therein, and your Lord is All-Aware of the Mufsidûn (evil-doers, liars).)(Sûrat Yûnus- verse37-40).

Innovative Way to Memorize the Quran - 2

There are some questions that we have received after the first lesson from this educational series, and we should answer them before showing the second lesson in memorizing the Quran.….

From these questions: How can the recited Quran be listened to? Should we listen to a whole Surah several times a day? And what are the suitable times for listening to the Quran?
How can the recited Quran be listened to?

You should know my brother believers that all times are suitable for listening to the Quran. The believer mentions Allah in all times, standing, sitting, lying down on his side, before going to bed, at awakening, when at work, when walking on the street and when are among friends and family. The believer mentions Allah in all times and so listening to the Quran does not have a specific time. However, those who want to memorize should listen to recited Quran whenever it is possible. Almighty says, "Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides" [Al- 'Imran: The Family of 'Imran: 191]
Should we listen to a whole Surah several times a day?

I prefer to repeat listening to the same Surah several times every day until its words become familiar to the listener. For example, if you want to memorize An-Naml (The Ant) Surah, you have to listen to this Surah in a voice of one of those who recite it for several times in a period of several days. Then, the memorization process will be very easy after that. I have followed that and it was fruitful. I have memorized the Quran without exerting any great effort because I was listening to the Quran.
What is the perfect time to memorize the whole Quran?

We should know that the Great Apostle (pbuh) memorized the Quran in 23 years!!! The period the Quran was revealed. From the Prophet sayings, there is no specific time for memorization, but my brother reader, you can memorize what may Allah avails for you from His Book and you determine firmly to complete memorization.
Do not feel disinterested if suitable circumstances were not available. You only need to ask Allah Almighty to furnish you the suitable circumstances and He may answer your supplication. You may be able to memorize in a month and it may take years, but I think the right period for who likes to set a time table is one year or two years.
Finally, the left question is around my experience in memorizing the Quran and how much time did it take me to keep by heart the Book of Allah Almighty? In fact, I did not think at all during my memorization process of time or how much I memorized. However, my concern was pleasing Allah Almighty, and I was always saying I need the big rewards and proximity to Allah Almighty. I used to know that a believer may memorize “Say: He is Allah, the One and Only” Surah and he will be at the top in front of Allah because of his devotion and sincerity with Allah. This is what makes the believer the best memorizer of Allah’s Book because Allah will assist him to memorize.
But, whoever memorizes the Quran to boast and gain a certificate to show to people, his rewards will be little even if he memorized the whole Quran. Maybe, all of us know about the man who will be used to fuel Hell on the Day of Resurrection, a man who kept the Quran by heart and read it to be called a reader, a man who takes pride in memorizing in front of people and not for the sake of Allah. This person got his rewards in this World and does have anything in the Hereafter.
Therefore, I always say dear brother and sister: Little memorization with sincerity is much better than much without devotion.
How should I memorize a Surah from the Quran?

The new way depends on three stages:
Listening to recited Quran stage
Stage of understanding, managing and deep-thinking of the speech we heard
Stage of establishing memorization from the Book
Listening to recited Quran stage

We have mentioned in the first lesson of this educational series the importance of listening to the Quran. It has a great impact in long-period memorization. This way is not new or innovative, but it was the way if our Master, the Prophet (pbuh).
The Great Apostle (pbuh) was memorizing the Quran by listening to Gabriel (pbuh); therefore, the first stage is listening and repeating this process.
Stage of understanding, managing and deep-thinking of the speech we heard

The second stage is very important in easing the memorization process and making it enjoyable and interesting. When you consider the verses you have heard and understand them carefully, that will consolidate these verses in your memory for a longer period and you will discover new things in the indications of the verses.
Stage of establishing memorization from the Book

The third stage is establishing memorization from the Book. After, we have listened to the Surah many times, it has become familiar to us, and we have understood its words from availed explanations or asking scholars. Let us now read this as follows:
Reading this Surah as whole three or four times.
Divide this Surah into portions and each portion includes several verses according the linguistic meaning and the connections between the portions with each other.
Read the first portion several times until you complete memorizing it, next, read also the second portion several times until you memorize, then, read the third and repeat it many times until you feel that you have memorized it.
Now, you have to connect these portions, you read the first and the second portions several times until you memorize them. Then, read the third and the fourth portions till you memorize them.
Then, you read the four portions together, memorize and establish them.
Finally, we move to the fifth portion and so on until we complete memorizing the Surah.
A practical example from Surah An-Naml (The Ant)

First stage: As aforementioned, we have to listen to Surah An-Naml every day several times.
Second stage: We try to understand every word in this Surah.
Third stage: We establish memorization from the Book.
Now, we will live in the introduction of Surah An-Naml. This Surah was named the Ant because it was the only Surah in the Quran in which the ants were mentioned. Before you know how to memorize this Surah you need to know the story of our Master Solomon (pbuh) in this Surah in an easy manner.
The story of Solomon (pbuh)

There was among Solomon's soldiers a bird named "The Hoopoe". This bird disappeared by traveling far away. Solomon (pbuh) came to ask about it and he did not find it. He said: he will punish it severely because it went without his permission unless it comes back with news or true important information.
Soon, the Hoopoe came back and showed in front of Solomon (pbuh) and said: I knew new things you do not know O' King. King Solomon said: What is this new information which I do not know?
The Hoopoe said: I went to Sheba, and I found there people who prostrate to the sun and do not believe in Allah. They have a queen with a great throne decorated with gold, silver, and jewels.
The Hoopoe continued saying that those infidels do not prostrate to Allah Almighty who knows the secrets of skies, the earth and everything.
Solomon (pbuh) said: we will consider what you have said, but you have to go back with a letter to them. In this letter, I will call them to believe in Allah Almighty and quit worshipping the sun.
The Hoopoe went to Sheba carrying King Solomon's (pbuh) letter. When it arrived to the queen palace, it dropped the letter near it. A soldier came, took the message and handed to the queen. The queen summoned her ministers and told them: I received a letter from King Solomon, a noble letter starting with, "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful." And required us to submit to the true religion and quit worshiping our god, the sun. What shall I do?

The ministers said: We are strong and King Solomon cannot conquer us. The queen replied: This king is very strong and he can conquer us. When kings enter a country, they destroy it and humiliate its people. Therefore, I think we send him a gift because it may convince him and stop attacking us.

The queen sent a gift of jewels, gold and very precious things. But the Hoopoe had heard the queen's words, went back to Solomon, and told him that: The queen is sending you a gift.
When the gift arrived to Solomon, he did not accept it and said: Do you give me money? Allah has given me things much better than what you have. You rejoice the gift while I do not rejoice other than the gift of Allah, His generosity and mercy.

Then, he said: Go back to them. We will bring them an army that they will not be able to meet. We will dispel them in disgrace. The soldiers went back with the gift to their queen and told her with what happened. They said: That King Solomon will send us soldiers to dispel us from our country. What do you order us to do? And how to behave in this situation?
This queen was wise and very smart. She realized that this king was not like other kings. He did not covet money, but he called for faith in Allah free of charge and without pay. Therefore he had to be sincere; I would go and talk to him.

The queen went with some of her soldiers to King Solomon (pbuh). Then, Solomon (pbuh) had met with his ministers and men. The counsel included some sprite of jinn whom Allah had made them subservient and that was a grant which Allah gave it to Solomon and no one after him.
Solomon told them: I want from you to bring me the throne of this queen, because they will come in submission to the true religion. Who can bring this throne before they come? A sprite of jinn said: I can bring you this throne before you leave this counsel? I am strong, reliable and obedient to you O King.

Then, one of the believers who had been given knowledge from Him and who used to read the Psalms, Solomon and David's Book that was revealed by Allah and from which he learned a lot said: I can bring you this throne within the twinkling of an eye!!! Then, this good man brought the throne from Sheba. No sooner had Solomon (pbuh) close his eyes when he saw the throne in front of him. He hurried to thank Allah Almighty for all of the blessings given by. This is the true believer whenever is blessed, he hastened to thank Allah Almighty for this grace.

After that, Solomon (pbuh) said to his soldiers: Take this throne and transform some things in it so that the Queen of Sheba when she comes, she cannot recognize. We want to be assured whether she can recognize her throne or not. They transformed the throne. This shows that Allah always tests the believer to see if that has a negative impact on his faith or his faith will increase.

When Balqis, Queen of Sheba came into Solomon Kingdom and met King Solomon (pbuh), he took her and showed her the throne which was her. He asked her: Is this your throne? Sheba Queen said: I do not know, but it looks like the throne I posses and it resembles it a lot.
Balqis was astonished by this scene and asked a lot about the secret of the existence of this throne. However, she was impressed by King Solomon and how he brought her throne from Sheba or how he could make one alike!!!

Despite that, she tried to declare her submission to the true religion, but she hesitated because she was a disbeliever and was prostrating to the sun and this what had stopped her from believing in Allah Almighty. Our Master Solomon (pbuh) realized that.

Thus, King Solomon (pbuh) took her to a lofty building with a great arena made of glass. She said this is a lake of water! But Solomon (pbuh) told her that this is a palace paved smooth by transparent glass. Allah has made subservient who can make for him this antiques and wonders.
Here and in this situation, Balqis, the Queen, stood convinced and declared embracing Islam in front of Solomon (pbuh) who was glad for this happy ending for a woman who was a disbeliever!!
Practical Example

Now let us write the first portion of this Surah (from verse 1 to 44) and we divide into portions as follows:

The first portion: Introduction of Surah and a talk about the Quran

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. These are verses of the Qur'an,-a book that makes (things) clear; 2. A guide: and glad tidings for the believers,- 3. Those who establish regular prayers and give in regular charity, and also have (full) assurance of the hereafter. 4. As to those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds pleasing in their eyes; and so they wander about in distraction. 5. Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. 6. As to thee, the Qur'an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing.
The second portion: Story of Moses (pbuh)

7. Behold! Moses said to his family: "I perceive a fire; soon will I bring you from there some information, or I will bring you a burning brand to light our fuel, that ye may warn yourselves. 8. But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 9. "O Moses! verily, I am Allah, the exalted in might, the wise!.... 10. "Now do thou throw thy rod!" But when he saw it moving (of its own accord)as if it had been a snake, he turned back in retreat, and retraced not his steps: "O Moses!" (it was said), "Fear not: truly, in My presence, those called as apostles have no fear,- 11. "But if any have done wrong and have thereafter substituted good to take the place of evil, truly, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 12. "Now put thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm): (these are) among the nine Signs (thou wilt take) to Pharaoh and his people: for they are a people rebellious in transgression." 13. But when Our Signs came to them, that should have opened their eyes, they said: "This is sorcery manifest!" 14. And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly!
The third portion: Story of Solomon (pbuh) and the ants

15. We gave (in the past) knowledge to David and Solomon: And they both said: "Praise be to Allah, Who has favoured us above many of his servants who believe!" 16. And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)" 17. And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks. 18. At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it." 19. So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: "O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants."
The fourth portion: Solomon (pbuh) and birds

20. And he took a muster of the Birds; and he said: "Why is it I see not the Hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees? 21. "I will certainly punish him with a severe penalty, or execute him, unless he bring me a clear reason (for absence)." 22. But the Hoopoe tarried not far: he (came up and) said: "I have compassed (territory) which thou hast not compassed, and I have come to thee from Saba with tidings true. 23. "I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne. 24. "I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides Allah. Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path,- so they receive no uidance,- 25. "(Kept them away from the Path), that they should not worship Allah, Who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what ye hide and what ye reveal. 26. "(Allah)!- there is no god but He!- Lord of the Throne Supreme!" 27. (Solomon) said: "Soon shall we see whether thou hast told the truth or lied! 28. "Go thou, with this letter of mine, and deliver it to them: then draw back from them, and (wait to) see what answer they return"...
The fifth portion: Solomon (pbuh) and Queen Balqis

29. (The queen) said: "Ye chiefs! here is delivered to me - a letter worthy of respect. 30. "It is from Solomon, and is (as follows): 'In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful: 31. "'Be ye not arrogant against me, but come to me in submission (to the true Religion).'" 32. She said: "Ye chiefs! advise me in (this) my affair: no affair have I decided except in your presence." 33. They said: "We are endued with strength, and given to vehement war: but the command is with thee; so consider what thou wilt command." 34. She said: "Kings, when they enter a country, despoil it, and make the noblest of its people its meanest thus do they behave. 35. "But I am going to send him a present, and (wait) to see with what (answer) return (my) ambassadors."
The sixth portion: Solomon (pbuh) and the throne

36. Now when (the embassy) came to Solomon, he said: "Will ye give me abundance in wealth? But that which Allah has given me is better than that which He has given you! Nay it is ye who rejoice in your gift! 37. "Go back to them, and be sure we shall come to them with such hosts as they will never be able to meet: We shall expel them from there in disgrace, and they will feel humbled (indeed)." 38. He said (to his own men): "Ye chiefs! which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?" 39. Said an 'Ifrit, of the Jinns: "I will bring it to thee before thou rise from thy council: indeed I have full strength for the purpose, and may be trusted." 40. Said one who had knowledge of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord!- to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! and if any is grateful, truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of all Needs, Supreme in Honour !" 41. He said: "Transform her throne out of all recognition by her: let us see whether she is guided (to the truth) or is one of those who receive no guidance."
The seventh portion: The end of the Story

42. So when she arrived, she was asked, "Is this thy throne?" She said, "It was just like this; and knowledge was bestowed on us in advance of this, and we have submitted to Allah (in Islam)." 43. And he diverted her from the worship of others besides Allah. for she was (sprung) of a people that had no faith. 44. She was asked to enter the lofty Palace: but when she saw it, she thought it was a lake of water, and she (tucked up her skirts), uncovering her legs. He said: "This is but a palace paved smooth with slabs of glass." She said: "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul: I do (now) submit (in Islam), with Solomon, to the Lord of the Worlds."
The reader may follow the above steps to memorize the portions one after another, then joining and memorizing every two portions, and so on we treat the rest of the Surahs.
